Blue jeans and baby doll dresses for a cute maternity look | Lavender & Twill

This mint satchel purse is my new favourite handbag | Lavender & Twill

I love rocking a short baby doll dress when I’m pregnant ~ the empire waist, floaty skirt and shorter length {that I only wear with capris or jeans for modesty’s sake} are perfect for feeling feminine and cute when you are ‘increasing’  ~ as they used to say!

Actually, ‘increasing’ sums it up perfectly. I’m feeling rather large and well, larger{!} these days, and that makes it hard to do much in the way of taking photos.

But fun odds and ends like my new mint satchel purse, and matching mint nails with pink cherry blossom nail art are the very thing to give me a kick in the pants and snap a few shots.

I’ve had my satchel for a while now, but still think of it as new because every time I pick it up to go out the door it makes me smile! I’ve been yearning after satchel styled handbags ever since they started to make a come back, so finally getting my hands on one ~ and in such a gorgeous color ~ only makes it that much nicer.

Funny how little things like that can make you so happy.  What’s a sweet little thing that’s made you smile recently?  (≧ ◡ ≦) ~ ♡

  1. Hi Bonita :)

You look lovely on your baby doll dress! And I love the color of your purse so much. I have the same style purse that I've been wearing every day, but the color is not fun like yours ;-)

Oh my Gosh, I remember when I "increased" a lot on the last weeks before the baby was born, I couldn't move and couldn't find a position to sleep. In the end I just couldn't wait any longer to deliver my baby boy. And what a magical moment is that, the very first moment you see the baby's face, I'll never forget those beautiful deep eyes :)

Have a lovely time Bonita :)

  2. I'd like to get a satchel soon instead of the ridiculously large backpack I carry to work (in vintage dresses. How lame is that?). This one is adorable, and I can see why you'd smile when pick it up!

    1. Oh, I bet a satchel will work perfectly with all your vintage dresses. They do seem to go so well. :D

  3. Such a pretty look! I don't wear mini dresses myself either for the sake of modesty, but your idea of teaming them with jeans or capris and using them more as tops would work for me as well (I'm not pregnant, I just mean in general). It sure beats the skirts over skinny trousers trend that some designers have been trying to push this season.

    1. Skirts over trousers? Gosh! That's so 90's! I can remember that being the hottest look - along with your platform sandals - when I was in year 9 or 10. I can't go back there... Just no. XD

  6. Thank you lovely! Baby is due to make an appearance on the 7th of February, but we'll see. My babies do run a bit late. ; )

5 months? I'll bet that went fast. They grow up so quickly, it's amazing to see it! :) ♥
